LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapy in Manchester

Our Inclusive Therapy Offer
Finding therapy as an LGBTQ+ person can be difficult when services don’t fully understand identity, shame, trauma, or the impact of discrimination. At Fighting Fear, we offer Queer-affirming, trauma-informed and intersectional therapy for LGBTQ+ people in Manchester, providing a space where your identity is understood, respected, and central to the work.
Therapy for LGBTQ+ people
in Manchester
We support LGBTQ+ people navigating anxiety, trauma, identity conflict, relationships, family rejection, and the long-term impact of discrimination. Many of the people we work with have had experiences of therapy where they felt unseen, misunderstood, or forced to explain themselves.
Our approach is different. We work from an understanding that your identity is not separate from your mental health—it is part of the context that shapes it.

Our Queer and Ally Therapists
At Fighting Fear, our core team of experienced therapists offer Queer-affirming, trauma-informed and intersectional support tailored to your needs. This includes a range of approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Art Therapy, counselling, and coaching.
We work across languages and cultural contexts, supporting clients from diverse backgrounds to access therapy that feels relevant, accessible, and affirming. Our approach is not one-size-fits-all—we adapt the work to you, your identity, and your lived experience.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, identity, or relationships, we aim to create a space where you don’t have to explain or minimise who you are.
